Spotlight on this 1987 Ford Crown Vic Philly Police car

This sedan carries the blue exterior and blue interior that match the look of Philadelphia police vehicles from the era. It features four doors, a gasoline engine, and an automatic transmission, details that align with the standard Crown Victoria LTD configuration used by many departments in the 1980s. The overall appearance supports scenes that need a recognizable East Coast police car without modern markings or equipment.

Crews working in New Jersey can review the listing photos to judge how the vehicle fits specific shots. The trim package and body style keep the focus on the classic sedan profile that dominated police fleets during that decade. Location managers and prop masters often note that these visual details help establish time and place quickly on camera.

Picture Car Company and the New Jersey Picture Car Market

Picture Car Company serves productions throughout New Jersey by listing vehicles that match common script requirements for period and contemporary scenes. Mt Holly sits in a convenient part of the state for crews filming in Philadelphia suburbs or further north, reducing travel time when a police car is needed on short notice. The site works with USA Movie Cars to connect productions with local inventory rather than requiring long-distance transport.

USA Movie Cars works with state picture-car sites such as New Jersey Picture Cars to help productions find local picture vehicles. This network approach lets coordinators search by state first and then expand to the national database when needed. Picture Car Company keeps its focus on vehicles already positioned in New Jersey so that rental logistics stay straightforward for in-state shoots.

History of the 1987 Ford Crown Vic Philly Police car

The Ford Crown Victoria LTD entered service with many police departments in the mid-1980s as a durable full-size sedan. Philadelphia used similar Crown Victoria models during that period, and the body style, roof line, and overall proportions became familiar to audiences through news footage and local productions. The 1987 model year sits squarely in the decade when these cars replaced older intermediates on many East Coast fleets.

The sedan body and four-door layout gave departments room for equipment and officers while maintaining a standard appearance on city streets. New Jersey productions often need vehicles that read as authentic for Philadelphia or nearby metropolitan areas, and this Crown Victoria carries the era-appropriate silhouette without later model updates. Its presence in Mt Holly adds a regional option for stories set in the 1980s.

New Jersey Picture Car Rental Uses

Producers can use this vehicle for establishing shots that place a story in Philadelphia or surrounding areas during the 1980s. Background texture in street scenes benefits from the correct police markings and color scheme that match the period. Still photography and commercial shoots often require a single vehicle that reads clearly as law enforcement without additional set dressing.

Music videos and branded content can place the car in motion or parked to support narrative beats. Events that recreate 1980s settings gain from having a recognizable police sedan on site. Independent filmmakers working in New Jersey find the vehicle useful for low-budget projects that need one or two key shots rather than an entire fleet.
