Picture Car Company and the California Picture Car Market

Picture Car Company maintains a focus on serving productions that film throughout California. By listing vehicles through the USA Movie Cars network, the company helps crews locate local options in Pomona and surrounding areas rather than arranging long-distance transport. This approach keeps costs and logistics simpler for shoots based in Southern California.

USA Movie Cars works with state picture-car sites such as California Picture Cars to help productions find local picture vehicles. The network connects listings from different regions so location managers and picture car coordinators can search for California picture car rental options without starting from scratch on every project.

History of the 1985 volvo wagon

The Volvo 245 belongs to the 240 series that Volvo produced from the mid-1970s through the early 1990s. The wagon body style offered practical cargo space and a reputation for durability that appealed to families and fleet buyers during the 1980s. Its exterior design remained largely consistent across model years, giving the 1985 version a recognizable silhouette from that period.

Station wagons like this one appeared regularly on American roads in the 1980s, both as daily drivers and in commercial fleets. The model’s straightforward engineering and boxy shape placed it among the common foreign vehicles seen in everyday traffic at the time. This general familiarity supports its use in scenes that need authentic background vehicles from the decade.

California Picture Car Rental Uses

Crews filming in California can place the wagon in period street scenes set in the 1980s. Its navy blue color and station wagon shape allow it to serve as a background vehicle in suburban or urban establishing shots without standing out as an anachronism. The four-door layout also makes it practical for shots that require actors to enter or exit the vehicle.

Producers working on commercials, music videos, or branded content can use the car to add texture to parking lots, driveways, or roadside sequences. Still photographers and independent filmmakers have similar options when they need a vintage vehicle that reads as ordinary rather than flashy. The automatic transmission and gasoline powertrain keep operation simple for crews that need to move the car short distances on set.
